France: Internet gains Feb 2008: flowers/gifts/and greetings, hotels & resorts, real estate and career resources
Online visitation figures traditionally dip slightly in February, since the shortness of the month means that there are fewer days on which visits can be recorded. Nonetheless, Valentine’s Day helped drive traffic to the flowers/gifts/and greetings category, which grew by 20 percent from January to 3.4 million visitors in February. Gains were also experienced in the hotels & resorts, real estate and career resources categories.
Uptake of its new Firefox Internet browser saw traffic to the Mozilla Organisation increase 79 percent to 4.5 million visitors, while the Euro Million Lottery draw caused traffic to Francaise des Jeux to grow 35 percent to 2.2 million visitors.
