European Online advertising growing fast.

According to Forrester pan-European online advertising is set to reach 16bn euros (£10.8bn; $22bn) by 2012.

Research group Forrester said, 52% of people were now regularly online, spending less time watching TV, as a result online adverts will jump to 18% market share from the current 9%. European internet users are now spending 14.3 hours on the net compared with 11.3 hours watching TV and 4.4 hours reading newspapers or magazines.

The will UK maintain its growth lead, ahead of Germany and France over the next four years.

While the report says search engines will continue to dominate online advertising spend, display adverts and e-mails come in a close second, this is great for InPage.

InPage CEO, Grant Jackson, says InPage is ideally positioned to take advantage of this trend, as demand increases, leading portals are running out of advertising space/inventory, by placing ads between pages InPage expands this advertising inventory.
