2008 Online advertising to reach $109 million – India

In 2008, the India online advertising market is expected to reach $109 million (INR4.2 billion), growing at a 32% CAGR to reach $319 million (INR11 billion) in 2012.

According to a FICCI-PricewaterhouseCoopers report, Online advertising will grow the fastest in India media and entertainment.


Overall, the total media and entertainment market is expected to grow at an 18% annual rate, reaching $33.5 billion (INR1,157 billion).

The internet represents a fraction of the total Indian advertising market and it is expected that this will remain the case through 2012.
